Parents of Prodigals
What is it?
Parents of Prodigals is a brand new support group ministry of Macedonia in Braselton, GA for any parent or parents that have experienced the pain of watching their child, young or old, run from the faith and family values of which they were raised. There is probably no greater pain for a parent. With the worry over the child's welfare also comes personal feelings of failure, shame and doubt and it can even put a strain on a marriage and on the other family member's mental and emotional health as well.
While many well meaning friends are quick to tell us what we should do in this situation, it often only serves to isolate us even more. Put simply, unless you've been there, you have no idea. And each situation is different. There are no easy answers.
But here is the good news. You are not alone. In this support group you will meet other parents like you and draw strength from your shared experience as you wait for your prodigal to come home.

This support group will be facilitated by Pastor Rodney Peavy, a parent of a prodigal himself. You do not have to attend Macedonia to be a part of this group, but you will of course be invited. Meetings will be held at Macedonia or in nearby meeting venues.
There is no charge at this point for being a part of this support group. However, as the group grows and develops, certain optional resources may have a cost involved. This will of course be optional and every effort will be made to keep any expense at an absolute minimum.
In that, this is a new group, there has been no set initial meeting date as of yet. We are asking that if you are interested that you please click on the below link and fill out our interest form. You are not yet committing to anything. But as soon as there are enough interested to start a small group, the first meeting date will be set and you will be contacted. From there, the group will decide together upon frequency and nature of meetings.
